The Last of Us 2 merajai nominasi di Golden Joystick Awards 2020, yang terbesar adalah sebagai Ultimate Game of the Year. Menjelang akhir tahun, tampaknya sekaranglah waktunya untuk mulai melihat kembali daftar game terbesar tahun ini. Beberapa publikasi dan acara penghargaan mulai memikirkan game apa yang paling berkesan tahun ini.
Salah satu yang pertama dalam barisan panjang acara penghargaan memulai debutnya hari ini, Golden Joystick Awards, dan mereka telah menentukan beberapa game yang merasa rasa pantas untuk menyabet beberapa penghargaan di tahun 2020 ini. Selain membawa pulang grand prize, The Last of Us 2 juga berhasil mendapat nominasi Best Storytelling, Best Visual Design, Best Audio, PlayStation Game of the Year dan juga Best Studio of the Year untuk Naughty Dog.
